Bethel Baptist Church
Bethel Baptist Church had been struggling with intelligibility and feedback issues for quite some time due to improper speaker placement, bare, hard surfaced walls, and a 40ft vaulted ceiling. We were able to come up with a plan that allowed us to install new speakers in a better location to minimize feedback and lower the overall volume on the stage. We also added 15%-25% wall coverage with acoustical treatment that cut down reverb time, echos, and other sound reflection issues. The combination of proper speaker placement, room tuning, and acoustical treatment made for increased intelligibility and overall better sound quality throughout the sanctuary. Following the first Sunday service with the new upgrades, multiple people shared that it was the first time in a long time that they could hear and understand the words during the worship time as well as the sermon.
Monroe UMC
Monroe United Methodist Church was in need of upgrading their soundboard, monitoring system, and livestream setup. They had a soundboard that had been utilized for 15+ years and had channels that were going out. Their monitoring system was causing the stage volume to be overbearing and their livestream setup was an iPad in the middle row of the sanctuary. We were able to upgrade them to a new, digital board with in ear monitoring as well as get them a new camera and laptop for a better livestream experience. We were also able to train their volunteers on the new system. Phase two of the project will include new projectors and screens to better enhance the worship experience.
