That is why I created The Legacy Project. When my grandma passed away in 2009 I realized that I would never again have the opportunity to learn to cook the way she did. I have some of her recipes but nothing replaces spending time in the kitchen with your Italian grandmother.
I knew I didn't want to have the same thing happen with my grandpa. He is a storyteller and has lived an incredible 95 years so far. I grew up listening to him share about his life and I knew that one day I would want to share his stories with my kids and grandkids. The problem was there were too many to remember and was no way I would get all of the details right in ten, twenty, or thirty years from now. So I asked if I could sit him down in front of a camera and have him share his stories. What we captured that day is a treasure that my family and I will cherish forever.
